Collapsed core
In a collapsed core network, the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) blocks the redundant links to
prevent loops. Hot Standby Routing Protocol (HSRP) can provide redundancy in the distribution
layer routing. It can keep core connectivity if the primary routing process fails.
