Configure Cisco VPN Client Support

Now, it’s necessary to configure the Cisco VPN Client. While the full process was covered in Chapter 12, the following steps are used to contact the VPN Concentrator. Bring up the VPN Client on the PC using the Start | Programs | Cisco Systems VPN Client | VPN Dialer.

  1. Click the New button.

  2. Name the connection, as shown in Figure 14-46, and click the Next button.

  3. Enter the Group name just created, and then click the Next button.

  4. Enter the IP address of the public interface of the Concentrator.

  5. Click the Finish button.

  6. Click the Connect button, as shown in Figure 14-47, to establish the connection.
