Step 3-5 Apply the Crypto Maps to the Interface

The last step in configuring IPSec is to apply the crypto map set to an interface with the crypto map command while in Interface Configuration mode. Use the no form of the command to remove the crypto map set from the interface. The command syntax is as follows:

Rtr1(config-if)#crypto map map-name

In the following example, crypto map testmap will be applied to the serial interface:

Rtr1(config)#interface serial 0
Rtr1(config-if)#crypto map testmap
Rtr1(config-if)#exit
