Task 4 Test and Verify IPSec

The Cisco IOS software contains several show, clear, and debug commands that can be useful in testing and verifying IPSec and ISAKMP configuration and operations. The following steps provide a checklist to test and verify the correct configuration and operations of the VPN connection:

• Step 4-1 Display the configured IKE policies

• Step 4-2 Display the configured transform sets

• Step 4-3 Display the current state of the IPSec SAs

• Step 4-4 Display the configured crypto maps

• Step 4-5 Debug IKE events
